Arkansas is no stranger to the issues that have become a constant in education, namely educator diversity and teacher shortage. State leaders see the current crisis as an opportunity to find innovative ways to attract highly-qualified candidates to the profession. The purpose of this presentation is to showcase how the Arkansas Department of Education is utilizing national, state and local partnerships to move forward in the recruitment and retention of a diverse teaching workforce.
